Kinedyne offers you the Low-Profile Portable Winch with 2 Set Screws to make your cargo securement even more stable. With a working load limit of 5,500 Lbs. / 2,500 Kgs., this winch is designed for those special securement jobs where the height of the winch is vital.
Our Low-Profile Portable Winch with 2 Set Screws is what you use when you want flexibility of winch placement along your vehicle's side channel. When you use this winch, you'll have more options on specifically where you want an anchor point to tie down your cargo with a working load limit of 5,500 Lbs. / 2,500 Kgs., allowing for more accurate tie down points.
The two set screws are designed to position the winch while the tie down is being tensioned. They only need to be "snug" tight. Overtightening the screws may cause the bracket to bend, which weakens the winch and may cause it to fail. Be sure to avoid screwing them in too tightly.
This winch is designed with a storage capacity of about 15 feet. When you're not using it, you should always clean and store the heat-treated carbon steel Low-Profile Portable Winch in a dry location to prevent any unnecessary damage.
To comply with DOT regulations, WSTDA, CHP, North American Cargo Securement, and Canadian 905 standards, our winches are stamped with the working load limit, country of origin, and manufactured date. Remember to always ensure that the load is stable before tightening or releasing tension in a strap assembly.

Set screws should be snug to hold position during tensioning; do not overtighten as this can bend the bracket and weaken the winch.
