Do not install this low-profile winch in bottom mount orientation in order to ensure proper operation of locking pawl by gravity. This winch features an easier to access "Thumb Saver" thumb pawl that lets you easily lock or unlock the sprocket to operate the winch. Cold outside? Don't worry, you don't have to take off your gloves in order to work this thumb pawl.
Kinedyne winches comply with DOT regulations, CHP, Canadian 905, North American Cargo Securement, and WSTDA standards. The working load limit, country of origin, and manufactured date are stamped on the frame in accordance to North American Regulations.
