Hauling steel coils has never been safer with Kinedyne's Standard-Duty Coil Chock/Coil Bunk. This Coil Chock is combined with 4" x 4" lumber and the appropriate amount of chain to keep the coil from rolling around on your flatbed while in transport. Manufactured with strength in mind, our Coil Chock/Coil Bunk is engineered from 10 gauge hot rolled steel and is designed to be 33.25 inches long, which is ideal for securing a variety of different sized coils.
Since the Coil Chocks/Coil Bunks are being held in place by the lumber and the coil itself, no additional tie-downs are required, offering a very simple and straightforward securement job. Note that the Coil Chock/Coil Bunk itself is not a cargo control device and should not be accounted for in total cargo control system working load limit calculations.

The Standard-Duty Coil Chock provides lateral restraint when installed against 4" x 4" lumber and retained by the coil. It reduces roll risk during transit but is not a standalone cargo control device; include only certified tie-downs when calculating system WLL.
No. The coil chock itself is not a cargo control device and must not be counted in working load limit calculations for a cargo control system.
Use 4" x 4" lumber and the appropriate amount of chain to secure the chock and coil; the assembly relies on the lumber and coil to hold the chock in place.
